报告摘要:
of intense research in condensed matter physics, as they exhibit fundamentally new physical properties and have potential applications for novel devices. Symmetry plays a crucial role in predicting new topological and valleytronic states and the interesting phenomena associated with these new states. In this talk, I will briefly introduce our recent works on the prediction of novel states by crystalline symmetry, including a complete classification of emergent particles in three dimensions, valleytronics materials with valley-layer coupling and novel Weyl-point states in nonmagnetic crystals.

报告人简介:
余智明,北京理工大学物理学院准聘教授、海外优青。2002-2006年就读于华中科技大学应用物理学系。2008-2014年就读于中国人民大学物理学系,导师为刘玉良教授,研究方向为凝聚态理论物理,获博士学位。2014-2016年在北京理工大学物理学院从事博士后工作,合作导师为姚裕贵教授。2016-2019年在新加坡科技设计大学继续从事博士后工作,合作导师为杨声远教授。2019年入职北京理工大学物理学院,为准聘教授。目前的研究方向包括拓扑物态,低维材料和纳米结构的物理性质,自旋和能谷电子学,量子输运等。
